Duties and Responsibilities:
           Scientist cover a whole range of scientific disciplines including neurosciences, plant sciences, physiology, and more. The work is close to the medical science but also crosses over into other areas such as biochemistry. Research scientists work in commercial or government laboratories, hospitals and higher education institutions. The typical work activities are:
·       devising and conducting experiments
·       processing and analysing results and data
·       communicating results to the scientific community via published papers
·       collaborating with industry/academia to apply the results of research and develop new techniques, products or practices
Salary: $60,000-$90,000
Education Requirements:
          Scientist responsibilities include performing research, developing solutions to problems and running experiments. Many scientists apply for grants in order to support their research activities. Scientists generally work for government agencies, universities, and private laboratories. A four-year bachelor's degree may be sufficient for many scientist positions. However, if you want to work independently or perform industrial research a doctoral degree is often required. This is the highest degree a student can earn and usually consists of an additional four to eight years of college study after your bachelor's degree. These are some types of scientist:
·      Archaeologist, specializing in archeology
·      Biologist, specializing in living organisms
·      Chemist, specializing in chemistry
·      Ethologist, specializing in the study of animal behavior
·      Seismologist, specializing in the study of earthquakes
